Product description and benefits

PLACOL mortar is a plaster-based product that allows for the indoor installation of plasterboards and filling of non-adjacent boards.

Special properties

• Usable on all types of plasterboard with or without insulation (glass wool, rock wool, polystyrene).

Application

• Apply 10 cm dots on the back of the board, spaced 50 cm horizontally and 40 cm vertically.
• In the case of fibrous insulators (glass wool, rock wool), apply a first layer of adhesive mortar.
• Glue the plasterboards to the support.
• The application thickness is 5 to 15 mm depending on the flatness of the support. If the supports are not plumb, correct them by first gluing strips of plasterboard.
• MIXING : Mix a 25 kg bag with 10 to 12 liters of water manually or mechanically at an ambient temperature between 5 and 30°C until a homogeneous paste is obtained. Do not use paste that has begun to harden.

Support check

• Make sure the support is not too wet.
• If the supports are too dry in summer, it is necessary to moisten them slightly.
• Do not apply on old paint.
• The wall surface must be sound, free of dust, oil, or paint.

Packaging & Storage

• PLACOL mortar is available in 25 kg bags.
• Store in a dry place and on pallets. The product's properties are guaranteed for about 6 months from the date of production.
